Holbrook Workshop offers custom, hand-crafted framing for exhibitions and galleries, artists and photographers, and personal works.

→ Small Works

Holbrook Workshop specialises in providing personal, one-on-one custom framing consultations. With her extensive knowledge, Jasna works closely and collaboratively with every client, and each piece is treated with care and consideration, no matter the size.

→ Exhibitions

Acknowledging the challenges and costs of exhibiting a body of work, Jasna welcomes discussions to customise options that resonate with each artist's unique needs and budget constraints, without compromising on quality. Throughout the process, she strives to craft frames that complements the artist's vision.

→ Galleries

Holbrook Workshop collaborates with galleries that share similar values and who appreciate a handmade approach over mass-produced frames. As a small scale operation, each frame is meticulously considered, reflecting Jasna’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

→ Artists and Photographers

Fostering a collaborative environment to craft custom frames that are distinctive and tailored to each artist and photographers work, Jasna is open to exploring unusual ideas and methods.

Conservation Framing

Conservation framing involves techniques and materials designed to protect your artwork in the long term, ensuring that your work is kept in its original condition. Jasna uses materials that are acid-free and archival, creating a safe home for your artworks to live; preventing harmful substances from affecting your work over time. Jasna also considers factors like UV light, proper mounting and hinging techniques, moisture barriers, and backing boards to maintain stable conditions for your artwork. By using these techniques and materials, it is ensured that your precious works are protected, preserved and thoughtfully presented.

Canvas Stretching

High quality stretcher bars are used and Jasna takes great care when stretching your artwork to ensure an even and consistent finish. It is not necessary to frame your canvas once stretched, but in most cases, adding a frame can add a whole other dimension to your piece. There are many options for framing a stretched artwork, however one of the most common styles is a shadow box (or float) frame, as pictured.

Stains, Paints & Finishes

Jasna offers a range of finishes for your frames, whether that be a custom colour, stain or natural beeswax finish. Having the option to add a finish to your frame ensures that the work displayed inside is enhanced and complemented. Natural finishes include a beeswax polish, which is carefully applied and buffed to accentuate the timbers’ natural grain. Stains can also be applied to add depth and colour to your frame, without sacrificing the timbers natural aesthetic. Jasna has a collection of samples which you can view in her workshop, and finishes can be adjusted to suit your needs (lighter or darker stain, custom colour picked from artwork, timber left raw, etc).

Custom Mirrors

Inspired by 1950s Swedish design, custom mirrors are made from Solid Oak to your specifications. High quality mirror is used and edges are polished for a seamless fit. A range of profiles are available and custom stains can be applied as per your requirements. Please get in touch via the contact page for more information or if you would like a quote.
